World Refugee Day
For over 40 years, the agency’s Resettlement program has helped thousands of refugees, fleeing wars and persecution, to build new lives in the Newport News, Richmond, and Roanoke communities
At Commonwealth Catholic Charities, we work to meet a variety of needs, alleviate suffering, and restore hope, dignity, and opportunities to those in need. Our nonprofit organization provides a dynamic environment where we work on many exciting programs to improve the lives of others.
Who We Serve
At CCC, the foundational building blocks for healthy and productive lives—personal growth and healing; love and belonging; safety and security; and food, shelter, and clothing—are at the very core of the services we provide every day.
Individuals were impacted by donations of clothing, baby supplies, and food in Richmond and Roanoke.
Refugees and immigrant children and their parents were guided through the public school systems with the help of school liaisons.
Individuals received legal guardianship services, case management, Independence for Seniors services, adoption and post adoption services.
Individuals and families assisted through individual, family, and group counseling.
