About Hope Soccer Festival

2023

Hope Soccer Festival partnered with Commonwealth Catholic Charities, the largest resettlement agency in southwest Virginia, to further expand awareness and support for refugees who have come to the United States where they are building a stable future. CCC ensures that refugee families have the tools and support that they need to succeed in our communities, through case management, health and language support, and education and employment services. 2012

Landon Moore created the Ndarugiriye Mariam Scholarship Fund and the Hope Soccer Festival to support the educational needs of refugee youth in the Roanoke Valley. Since 2012, hundreds have participated in this beloved festival and have raised thousands of dollars to enrich the lives of dozens of refugee children and families.
