The Ndarugiriye Mariam Education Fund

Ndarugiriye Mariam was born in Democratic Republic of the Congo and arrived in the United States as a refugee in 2007. In 2012, following her death, the Ndarugiriye Mariam Scholarship Fund was established to help ensure educational opportunities for her eight children.

Since then, the fund has grown well beyond its original purpose. Over the years, it has supported many refugee and immigrant students by helping cover the cost of college and trade school tuition, after‑school programs, and summer school courses.

Donate to the Scholarship Fund

Your gift helps keep the doors to education open for refugee students who are working hard to build a brighter future for themselves, their families, and their communities. Through education, these students are pursuing stability, opportunity, and the promise of the American dream.
