Kathy
Hello,
My name is Kathy and I am so honored to have the chance to tell you more about me and my family. Before that though, we are praying for you and I am in awe of your love and strength in considering an adoption plan for your baby. As I considered my options for becoming a mother, especially as a single woman, adoption is the option that lit a spark in my soul. And I am so glad that it did.
I am currently mom to my amazing son Parker who was born in June of 2022 in San Deigo, CA. I will never forget the amazing moment that I met him for the first time when he was about a week old! Parker is now a very energetic three-and-a-half-year-old with curly hair and the biggest, brightest smile you can imagine. God blessed me beyond measure with getting to be Parker's mom!
Speaking of God, my relationship with God is a never-ending work in progress. Parker and I attend an amazing church that is always growing and has an undeniable commitment to raising up future generations to know and love God. It has been a great place for us to learn about God, make amazing friends and serve our community.
In addition to me and Parker, our household includes my mom, Grandma Robin, and our three dogs, Nessie, Rosie and Bella. It makes for a fun and busy house, which is honestly perfect for a curious preschool boy. There is lots of space for all of us with a dedicated playroom, a fenced in backyard complete with outdoor play area and, if we need to get out, a whole neighborhood to explore.
For work, I have an amazing career as a Civil Engineer, and I work for a great company that offers both the security and the flexibility that I need as a single mom. It is also a perfect addition to my slightly nerdy personality. In addition to my career, I also enjoy building with Lego, watching Lord of the Rings and occasionally playing a video game. My other hobbies include knitting and sewing and doing crafts with Parker.
Whenever we get a chance, we love to travel. Whether we are seeing family in Chicago or Montana or site seeing in Florida or New England, traveling is a special way that we spend quality time together and learn more about the world around us. We try to get away at least twice a year for bigger trips and try to go on day trips to the beach, mountains, museums or fun events nearby at least once a month.
Hopefully that gives you a little picture of what our family looks like. We are around if you have any questions! I pray that you feel God's guidance and feel peace with whatever you decision you land on.
God bless you!
Kathy
