FAQs
What kind of vehicles will CCC accept?
We can accept all kinds of vehicles, including cars, trucks, RVs, motorcycles, boats, trailers, campers, ATVs, farm machinery, planes, heavy equipment, and tractors.
What happens to my vehicle after I donate it?
If the vehicle is in good condition, it can be used by CCC to serve clients or may be gifted to a client. If the vehicle is not in good condition, then it will be sold at auction and the proceeds returned to CCC to support clients and programs.
What are the tax benefits to donating my car?
Because CCC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, vehicle donations can be claimed as deductions on your federal tax return. We recommend speaking with a tax expert before proceeding. If your vehicle's value is $500- the IRS allows your to claim up to $500, no matter how much the vehicle sells for. If your vehicle's value is $500+ the IRS allows you to claim the full value of the donation.
