Artists Bios

Nazira Mohammadi was born in Afghanistan and lived in numerous refugee camps and shelters before coming to CCC’s Unaccompanied Refugee Minor program. At 19, she is already making a name for herself as an artist.

Nazira’s art pieces are inspired by the struggles of brave women in her home country fighting against the Taliban’s unjust and inhumane treatment of women.

Daniela is 11 years old and in 5th grade. Her art helps her feel connected to her native country of Honduras. She learned how to draw from her older siblings as well as practicing daily. She also enjoys painting, making interesting items with found items and roller skating.

Ronald considers art to be his favorite hobby. Ronald can usually be found spending time in the sunroom of his house working on crafts and different art pieces. He likes making different types of artwork and giving it to friends and family.
