Madeline & Jonathan

Hello! We’re so grateful you’re taking the time to get to know us. We pray that as you consider adoption, you feel supported and empowered every step of the way.

Here’s some information about us! We’ve been happily married for eight years and adopted Josiah in 2025. We’re a down-to-earth couple who love learning, serving, laughing, and enjoying life abundantly together.

Our values:
Community and hospitality are a huge part of our lives. Our church family has been such a meaningful source of encouragement, prayer, and practical support to us. We love opening our home to friends, family and our neighbors to share homemade meals, laugh, swap stories, play games, and pray together. Our extended families are also very involved in our lives, and we feel so loved and supported by them. Jonathan has three siblings and Madeline has four siblings (three of which were adopted!)

Our home:
We live in a cozy four-bedroom home at the end of a cul-de-sac with diverse neighbors, many with young children. Our wooded backyard is perfect for running, exploring, and playing in. We’re close to parks, libraries, pools, and a charming downtown, with plenty of opportunities for kids to learn and have fun.

Work and hobbies:
We have a really unique situation where we both work primarily from home and will both get to be really involved in our kids’ lives! Jonathan is the lead pastor of a local church and has spent many years caring for and mentoring people of all ages. He loves gardening, woodworking, hiking, cooking, and hosting, and enjoys being a playful, compassionate, and present dad. Madeline does photography and bookkeeping for local businesses. She enjoys everything about being a mom, and is attentive, fun, and enjoys just spending time with our child (and can’t wait to get to know our future children!)

Our first adoption:
We have a really positive open adoption relationship with Josiah’s birth parents and always speak well of them. We meet up in person with them once a year, and it has been so special so far! We know every situation is unique, and we’re committed to listening carefully and honoring whatever level of openness feels right to you. Our promise is to love your child wholeheartedly, raise them with kindness, faith, and confidence, and always speak well of you with gratitude and respect. Thank you so much for considering us!
