To the birth mother and family,

We want to first say thank you for considering adoption. We understand how difficult this decision may be and no matter what, we want you to know that you should not feel alone in your journey.

We are Joshua and Candis and have been married for 14 years. We have had such an exciting and adventurous life from getting married in Alaska to visiting world wonders like the Grand Canyon and Niagara Falls and have plans to see more. Our goal is to bring out the best in ourselves by experiencing these amazing places and enjoy life as much as possible.

My name is Joshua and I was born in Richmond, VA and have lived here most of my life. I am a US Air Force veteran who has earned my B.S. in Chemical Engineering and my M.B.A, both from Virginia Commonwealth University. I have a strong will and belief in continually investing in personal growth and being open minded. I personally know what it means to be flooded with the emotions you are experiencing. When I was a teenager, I placed my birth child with a family that I felt would do the very best for him. Today, I can see this selfless decision has allowed him the opportunity to thrive in his life!

My name is Candis and I was born and raised in central Virginia and have lived here my entire life. I am a certified medical coder and have worked in a doctor’s office for over 13 years. I currently manage a small team and help them grow both personally and professionally. I have a strong commitment to family, building memories, and creating amazingly delicious meals, especially during the holidays. My cookbook continues to grow and I love to experiment with new ideas, while throwing in my own personal touch to spice up the dish. My goal is to create magical memories and build them together as a family, and share life’s most precious moments together.
