Adopting Kids and Teens in Foster Care

CCC is committed to supporting all youth who are at risk of aging out of foster care without a permanent, nurturing family. 

​

CCC participates in Adoption Through Collaborative Partnerships (ATCP), a public-private partnership intended to increase adoptions for children and teens in foster care.

​

Through ATCP, CCC collaborates with the Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) in the Roanoke and Norton regions to eliminate barriers, streamline the adoption process, and provide ongoing support to adoptive families and children.

 

As part of this work, CCC uses the Wendy’s Wonderful Kids (WWK) recruitment model to help children ages 9–17 in foster care find permanent families.

Izak is an outgoing and happy 10-year-old. He enjoys playing on his own but also enjoys sports like soccer and golf. He likes dogs, cats, and other animals and is extremely afraid of spiders. His other interests include cartoons, video games, LEGO bricks, Hot Wheels, Monopoly, and yarn crafts.
