Nurturing Children and Families
As a Catholic organization, rooted in faith, CCC is committed to protecting children, stabilizing families, and cultivating independence. When we protect children, help families remain stable, and cultivate independence, we create stronger, more resilient communities.
A Home at Last
Houston is a sweet and caring boy who lives with multiple developmental and neurological disorders. At 11-years-old, he had spent most of his life in a group home, with no prospects for a permanent family.
When CCC caseworker, Donna, learned about Houston’s situation, she knew what to do.
She immediately called Amy and Jay.
Over the past 20+ years, Amy and Jay adopted five children, many with unique needs. Donna told them about Houston. They visited Houston and soon decided that he should join their family permanently.
During their visits, they also got to know Houston’s roommate, Archer*, another child who had grown up almost entirely in group homes and had no family connections.
After months of visiting the boys, Amy and Jay knew that they couldn’t leave Archer behind and began adoption proceedings for him, too.
Houston's adoption was finalized in 2025, and the family is eagerly awaiting news that Archer will be officially their brother and son.
For the first time in their lives, these boys are experiencing what it’s like to be part of a nuclear family, with a mother, a father, and siblings. They are thriving, growing, and experiencing a true sense of belonging in their forever home.
*Archer’s name has been changed since his adoption is not yet finalized.
