Housing the Most Vulnerable
CCC is committed to addressing homelessness not just at the individual level, but at the structural level.
When we connect people with housing, support them in housing, and build new housing, we provide the cornerstone of thriving families and communities.
Building a Brighter Future
Alyssa, a single mother of five, was living in a hotel for nearly a year when she was referred to CCC. Despite working hard, she couldn’t save enough for a security deposit or first month’s rent for an apartment. She felt stuck.
Alyssa was accepted into CCC’s housing program for people living with HIV/AIDS.
Within just one month of working with CCC, Alyssa and her kids moved into their new home. The day she received her keys, she was overwhelmed with emotion, hugging her case worker and saying thank you over and over.
Today, Alyssa has maintained her job and is working closely with a CCC housing counselor to buy the five-bedroom home she’s renting.
Alyssa is not just surviving—she’s building a future for herself and her children.
