Youth Mentor

Richmond

Our Refugee Resettlement program is seeking 8 – 9 volunteers to provide youth one-to-one mentoring with the goal of assisting clients with their career path.

  • If the client is in high school, the volunteer will assist with the community college application process.

  • If the client did not complete high school and would like to obtain a GED diploma, the volunteer will assist with the application process, class information, transportation information, etc.

  • If the client has a college degree in their home country, the volunteer will assist with the college application process, FAFSA, federal work study, etc.

Most clients do not have transportation and the volunteer will either go to a client’s home to provide assistance or take the client to a public place (ex. library, coffee shop, workforce center, our building, etc.) to provide assistance.
