Credit Counseling 

All services are provided by HUD approved housing counselors who are certified by the federal government to provide guidance and tools to current homeowners, prospective homebuyers, and renters in making responsible choice to address their housing needs.  


How much does it cost? 
Counseling services are FREE! 
Credit Report Fee: $25.87 (individual person) | $51.74 (joint report) 

  • Receive reports & FICO scores from Equifax, Experian & TransUnion

  • Credit reports are soft inquiries and will not impact your credit score

How many sessions are there? 
Clients can expect a minimum of three sessions. 

  • Initial Appointment 

  • Progress/Follow-Up Appointment

  • Closing Session

Extension or continuation of services beyond three sessions is available at the request of the client. 

What is covered?

  • Develop a household  budget

  • Offer guidance to clients who may be facing financial constraints

  • Help clients access resources related to financial goals

  • Understand and review credit report & scores

  • Mitigate correspondence to creditors

  • Create realistic debt payoff schedules

  • Provide appropriate information on general financial issues

  • Counselors will help to develop personalized action plan with realistic measures and goals
