Austin & Laura

Hello,

Our names are Austin and Laura. We want to thank you for taking the time to learn a little more about us. We can’t begin to imagine how tough the decisions you’re currently facing are. We want you to know how courageous and selfless your actions are as you consider adoption. For a couple like us who have suffered with infertility for years, your braveness will give us the greatest blessing of our life.

We began dating in March of 2011 and have been married for four years. As high school sweethearts we have been so lucky to be each other’s best friend and rock for all of our adult lives. Austin is in the Air National Guard as a crew chief on airplanes and also works as an aircraft mechanic at a local airport. Laura is a Deputy with the local sheriff’s office in the county we live in. Together we enjoy spending time outside, going out on our boat, and being with family. We especially enjoy fishing, hiking with our dogs, and attending UVA football games. We have a niece and three nephews who can’t wait for cousins and parents that are thrilled to become grandparents to our child. We feel so lucky that Laura’s mom, a retired Kindergarten teacher, will be our childcare while we have to be away at work. We recently moved into our new home we built in an established neighborhood. With the neighborhood lake and many recreational areas for children to play we are so looking forward to making memories as a family in our new home.

We have always known that we wanted kids and shortly after getting married we started trying. After countless unsuccessful fertility treatments we felt called to adoption. We cherish the thought of growing our family and welcoming the missing piece of our hearts. Laura has an Aunt who was adopted at three months old and to see the amazing woman, mom, and wife she is today just shows us that God doesn’t make mistakes. She is an integral part of our family and we would not be nearly the family we are without her. She has been the greatest blessing to our family just as your child will be.

It will be a dream come true to welcome your child into our home and our lives will forever be greater. We know we can offer a loving, safe, and happy home to your child. Thank you for taking the time to get to know us a little better. We wish you all the best and warmest thoughts in your journey.
