Commonwealth Catholic Charities is seeking 2 part-time Medical Liaison in our Roanoke and Richmond office. This position will develop and implement a health education program for at risk, limited English speaking refugees. A Bachelor's degree in the human services field preferred with at least three years experience in the direct delivery of social services or health services. Knowledge of community resources, resettlement, cross-cultural sensitivity, reliable transportation and good driving record preferred. The candidate should have a solid understanding of quality processes, outcomes measures, opportunities for staff, and evidence based practice models. This position works with the Food Pantry/Clothing Closet Coordinator and is responsible for unpacking and organizing food and clothing donations, distributing food items, client data entry. Work in the food pantry entails lifting and bending. Workers should be able to lift a twenty pound bag from floor and place it on a table. This position works with the Employment Services Coordinator and is responsible for the service delivery of employment services to resettlement clients. A Bachelor’s degree in the human services field preferred with two to three years experience in refugee resettlement or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of community employment resources, experience in employment training, resettlement, cross-cultural sensitivity, reliable transportation and good driving record preferred. Commonwealth Catholic Charities is seeking candidates for a full-time or part-time Counselor in the Norton office to address substance abuse and mental health issues for individuals and families. This position provides individual, family, and group counseling services to adults and children. LCSW or LPC and CAC required with at least one year experience in substance abuse treatment.
