St. Francis House is the largest provider of food for the needy in Roanoke city.
“We offer a place to come in and be warm for a few minutes, for parents to browse for clothes and a toy for their children, and more importantly we offer families a few meals that they won’t have to worry about providing themselves.”
~ Joelle Henry, Saint Francis House Coordinator
Saint Francis House serves Roanoke families who need food, clothing, and baby items. Our help is on the front lines of people’s immediate needs, and we seek to serve in a way that upholds the dignity of every individual who walks through our doors. We are a registered food pantry with Feeding America Southwest Virginia. We also rely heavily on the generosity of area churches, individuals, and corporations.
Because of support from people like you, St. Francis House - a clothes closet and food pantry - can keep meeting the basic needs of Roanoke residents…your help is critical to our operation! Many of our donors give every month or every week, like clockwork. Those faithful gifts allow us to keep our doors open and have something to give; with those offerings we are able to add to people’s health and quality of life. Thank you and thanks to the dedicated staff and volunteers of St. Francis House who do so much for so many.
